Google mail has a nice little notifier that lets you know when you have new
mail come in. Now I realize this is a beta version of Windows Live Mail, but
is someone at microsoft thinking about this feature. Come on guys if google
can do it. MS should be able to do it better.

I like Thunderbird's new notifier...
a box pops up in the notification area, showing the email subject, and part
of the message. You can click on it to open the message, if you want.

You do get a notifier if you are signed into WLMessenger.

This is exactly what I think. It is the same case in my Wlm Version 1201184.

The only way I know of to see the Windows Live Mail notifier is to leave WLM
running in the background. As with MS Outlook Express, you need a third
party notifier application which accesses your email accounts. Since the
application is independent of the mail client, any notifier which works with
MSOW *should* work with WLM.

The letter icon changes its colour into gold by incoming mail. There is no
sound, even when this is checked in the options. I always leave the programm
in the systray. This is not possible in Thunderbird without using an
extension.

AFAIK, the lack of audio notifier in Windows Live Mail is a known bug which
will be addressed in the next version release.

Does Hotmail have a notifier? You can always forward yor mail to Hot mail.
What you have afterall, is a beta "trial" version".

MSN Hotmail has a notifier in the MSN Messenger client, if you use your MSN
Hotmail email address as your MSN Messenger ID. Same for Windows Live Mail
with Windows Live Messenger. Just live the IM client running in the
background, and signed in.
