Can someone talk me through doing a complete removal of Windows Live Mail
including the stores and everything? I need to do this and then re-install
it from scratch as it is not connecting with one of my pop3 e-mail accounts,
and it is my main one.

1.Remove the Windows Live Installer files in Add/Remove Programs.

a. Enable Windows Vista User Account Control (UAC) if using Vista.

b. Close all Windows Live applications

c. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Windows Live and delete the Installer folder
if there

d. Navigate to C:\ProgramData and delete both Windows Live Installer and
WLInstaller directories if you have them.

e. Restart your computer. This is a must

2. Install Windows Live Mail by visiting the site http://get.live.com/wl/all

But most importantly:

rmdir /S /Q "%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows
Live Mail\"
reg delete "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail" /f

These two lines will delete all your messages, accounts, folders and
settings, assuming you did not move your WLM store to some other location.
If you did, then you know where to delete it.

Thanks!
